The BinEx provides interesting excursions throughout the year where many a technician can indulge their interests. We select companies in and around the Netherlands where agricultural technologists can start their careers after their studies, or companies that stand out with innovation in agriculture. In addition, we vary with companies that focus on arable farming, livestock farming, or horticulture. There is something for everyone!

This is the way to stay up-to-date with the latest technical developments in agriculture. You gain insight into the development process from the drawing board to the final quality control tests where the machines roll off the production line. The best part is that you often get to see a machine in action or lift the covers to thoroughly inspect the mechanism. In addition, you get to learn about the background, history, and goals of a company, which makes each company unique. Furthermore, you can expand your network, which can be useful for your thesis, graduation project, or even more.

The undisputed excursion of the year, for which technicians eagerly count down the days, is the Agritechnica or EuroTier! Every year in period 2, a bus full of Biosystems Engineers sets off for Hannover, where all the innovations in agriculture are gathered on a massive site. Manufacturers showcase their machines on the most extensive stands.

The discerning Biosystems Engineer also wants the opportunity to compare companies. For this purpose, a themed evening is organized three times a year, where companies have the opportunity to present their vision on agriculture, followed by a discussion.
