Heeren XVII has existed since 1 April 1965 when the association was founded in café Onder De Linden in Wageningen. To celebrate the existence of this beautiful association, a lustrum is celebrated every five years. The lustrum is a week full of great activities that will be remembered long after the student days as one of the best weeks in the life of a biosystems engineer. But the lustrum is not only meant for the members of Heeren XVII, there are also things organized for companies, graduates and family. Every lustrum has a number of fixed values that return every year. For example, the lustrum week is opened with a fun opening activity, there is a reunion for the graduates who want to go back to their student days, there is a parents' day and a brothers' and sisters' night to introduce the home front to the study of Agrotechnology, there is a company day where potential employers can be met and there is a symposium where the latest innovations in the field are presented. But the best part of the whole week is a smashing closing party that can be counted as one of the best nights ever. During this week there will also be plenty of food and drink; no one will be lacking anything. All this is quite a job to organize and therefore about two years in advance a committee is formed to take care of this and this time we are the six lucky ones and we will do everything to make the eleventh Lustrum of Heeren XVII a spectacle!
