The board of Heeren XVII has several tasks. On the first place there is the managing of the association. This is done by intensive contact with the committees. Also, the board is the first point of contact for relations outside the associations. For example, it keeps in touch with the other study associations of Wageningen University, the Dutch Association of Technology in Agriculture (Dutch: NVTL), companies and institutions, the National Museum of Historical Agricultural Technology and the organizations within Wageningen University. By publishing a CV book annually, Heeren XVII tries to bring almost graduates to the attention of the business community. Another function of the board is to ensure that new students arrive, by organizing individual orientation days three times a year and by being present at the open house.<\/p>\n

The Chair of the Board coordinates the actions of the other Board members. It is also his task to chair the board meeting, the General Members Meeting as well as the Monthly Rigros. The task of keeping a written minutes of all these meetings lies with the Secretary. He\/she also keeps track of the mail and e-mail and makes invitations for meetings. Also, the secretary keeps the association agenda. For all contacts between the board and the committees of the association an Internal Commissioner has been appointed. He\/she also takes care of the digital photo and script archives. The Commissioner Internal is also concerned with education. For this he\/she chairs the Little Rigro, a meeting of the education related committees of Heeren XVII. For all external affairs and relations there is the Commissioner External. He maintains contact with the former members, the National Museum of Historical Agricultural Engineering and all companies and relations who are on file with Heeren XVII. In the field of information, the Commissioner External is especially active in organizing individual orientation days and other campaigns to recruit students. The treasurer of the association manages all the financial affairs, makes sure that the contribution is debited on time, keeps the (former) member lists up to date and makes a financial year overview at the end of the academic year. The treasurer also takes care of the purchases of the association.<\/p>\n

On every Tuesday and Thursday of the week, there is the consultation hour. At noon, from 1 pm to 1.30 pm, someone from the board will be present in the Heeren XVII boardroom to answer all your questions. The boardroom is located in the Forum building on the ground floor, room 0029. During the consultation hour, it is also possible to buy or collect Heeren XVII articles. Should there be any questions or problems, they can be discussed during the consultation hour or sent via e-mail to heeren.xvii@wur.nl. By phone, we can be reached during consultation hours at 0317-484192.
