    The Education Quality Committee (OKC) is the committee within Heeren XVII that meets once a period and reviews all course evaluations. We do this in cooperation with the department representatives of Biobased Chemistry & Technology (BCT) and Farm Technology (FTE). Our role within the committee is to get clear what students exactly mean with the provided feedback and where possible points of improvement lie. It is often the case that OKC members follow or have followed the courses that are discussed. If it turns out that certain parts of a course are not properly assessed, the department representatives can immediately take action. Each academic year is represented. This with a view to a good distribution from the study years and the best possible interpretation of the evaluation forms.

    We enjoy our work, because often something is actually done with the feedback provided. You notice that subjects are improved and this is reflected in the course evaluations. The OKC is therefore not an unimportant committee for the bachelor Agrotechnology and the master Biosystems Engineering. In order to keep functioning well, it is important that everyone fills out the course evaluations. The more students fill out the subject evaluation, the more we can accomplish. Our program has grown in number of students, but we don't notice it as much in the number of completed evaluations yet, so please click on that email and fill out the evaluation.

    Even if you were satisfied with your course, we would like to know that too. Of course you can always approach us and tell us all the good or bad things you noticed during a course. You can also contact the OKC at any time for problems during a course that need to be solved immediately. Also when you have feedback on a thesis or internship the OKC is there for you. For these cases you can contact the OKC members personally or send an e-mail to education.hxvii@wur.nl.

    All (summarized) course evaluations are online at the course guide on the WageningenUR site. So you can see how a course was evaluated last time and use this in your course selection! The main results of our consultation are also presented in the Haitech.
